Oledieth “Ledy” DeMott has been painting for most of her 81 years. She was introduced to art by her grandfather at the age of 11. He entered her in a local art contest which she won. She continued her interest in art and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art with a minor in Education from Florida State University. She  taught school until she retired at the age of 70. Throughout her 48 year marriage and the raising of 5 children, she still found time to draw and paint for relaxation.. After the death of her husband Richard  in 1993, she began to devote much of her day to her art, rising early to catch the first morning light. 

At the urging of her family and friends, she is now offering her paintings for sale. Each of these paintings are original and the creations of Oledieth DeMott of Miami Florida. The paintings are acrylics on cloth canvas, for a closer look at these paintings, click on the thumbnails below.
